Chronic Conditions and Symptoms of Unknown Origin

Often clients come for treatment with conditions they have had for a long period of time. Usually they have had treatment from many different therapies, including allopathic medicine. They are still not well, or feel that their condition is no longer improving from the therapies they’ve tried in the past.

Chronic conditions, by their very nature, produce aberrant energy patterns in your body. This prevents healing and tends to make the condition worse over the long term. Osteopathy treats these aberrant patterns, realigning the energy flow and correcting structural deficits.

It’s important to remember that, the longer you’ve had the condition, the more entrenched it is in the body. For this reason, it can take 2 or 3 treatments before obvious change is apparent. That said, you might feel immediately energized after treatment, go through a detoxification process that clears the built up stagnation from your body. There may also be other therapies that I will recommend to support your healing process.

While a diagnosis can be useful to have, it isn’t essential for my work. I welcome clients with conditions that haven’t been able to be diagnosed by allopathic doctors. These are often labeled as ‘symptoms of unknown origin’.

Any kind of road traffic accident, whether you were in a car, on a motorcycle or bicycle, or a pedestrian, can cause lasting effects on the body. Osteopathy effectively treats long-standing problems arising from this kind of trauma. I have seen many clients who had accidents 20-30 years ago that benefited from treatment. Some had full resolution of their problems, others benefited in a more limited way, but everyone experienced some improvement.

Because I deal with the structural integrity of the body and its energy and fluid flow, I see what is working and what isn’t and direct healing appropriately.
