Forest Bathing

I was reminded how healing it is to get out into the mountains when I went on a hike last weekend. Walking up through old cedar trees hung with moss, stopping every once in a while to absorb the stillness and quiet was a refreshing antidote to the hustle and bustle of the city.
Recently there have been articles on ‘forest bathing’ that tell of the benefits of walking in the woods. Will Richt, a Vancouver journalist, has written an article on the subject: alive.com/articles/view/23253/forest_bathing
Forest bathing is simple to do, just go to a wooded area and enjoy! In Vancouver we are fortunate to have a number of urban parks where forest bathing is possible. Pacific Spirit Park and Stanley Park in particular.
Interesting article and a great reminder, thanks. We’re lucky here in Vancouver.
